MetalX announces leadership appointments following co-founder’s passing

Aluminum recycler and processor MetalX announced a series of leadership appointments following the death of its co-founder, chief executive officer and president Danny Rifkin – the company said in a release on Monday April 21
Neal Rifkin – who co-founded MetalX with his father in 2012– will maintain role as president.
The Fort Wayne, Indiana-based company appointed Stan Gish as its chief executive officer. Gish spent over 30 years at Logan Aluminum and Tri-Arrows Aluminum, in various technical and operational roles, before joining MetalX. The company said Gish will guide its long-term growth, market development and industry positioning.
Gish served as president and chief operating officer of MetalX’s MMX Aluminum in 2024 while itconstructed a $200 million aluminium rolling slab facility in Ohio.
MetalX also appointed Doug Forbes as its chief operating officer. Forbes will oversee day-to-day operations and ensure its operational efficiency, continued production capacity growth and team alignment.
“With the right people in the right roles, we’re well-positioned to continue growing and delivering value for our partners, our team, and the communities we serve, Rifkin said in the release.
