LME base metals prices mostly lower in early trading

London Metal Exchange base metals prices were mostly slightly down in early trading on Tuesday May 20, with only lead edging higher, up by 0.43%.LME three-month base metals prices at 9am on Tuesday, compared with Monday’s 5pm close.
* Copper: $9,450 per tonne, down by 0.78%
* Aluminium: $2,439 per tonne, down by 0.45%
* Nickel: $15,410 per tonne, down by 0.99%
* Zinc: $2,671 per tonne, down by 0.21%
* Lead: $1,970 per tonne, up by 0.43%
* Tin: $32,850 per tonne, down by 0.15%
Base metals stock movements in LME-registered warehouses on Tuesday morning:
* Total copper stocks: 170,750 tonnes (down by 3,575 tonnes)
* Total aluminium stocks: 390,925 tonnes (down by 2,525 tonnes)
* Total nickel stocks: 202,098 tonnes (up by 90 tonnes)
* Total zinc stocks: 156,725 tonnes (down by 4,075 tonnes)
* Total lead stocks: 245,750 tonnes (down by 600 tonnes)
* Total tin stocks: 2,655 tonnes (down by 85 tonnes)
The US Dollar Index was 100.06 at 9:00am on Tuesday; it was 100.43 at 5.28pm on Monday May 19.
